Last year, it was Michael up in Brisbane who blew our minds with an amazing Chrsitmas lights display synchronised to music. This year, it’s Ryan down in Adelaide.
Watching the clip, it’s certainly a lot more rock than last year, which I personally like. There are a few different tracks to watch on his website as well, which would make listening to them over and over again a lot less painful…

Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at 11:00 PMHey, it’s Michael, not Mitchell. ;-)
The lights look great! I love the variety of colours, I’m going to have to get some more to fill it out.
If anyone’s interested in any more xmas lights videos, I’ve put mine up on youtube for this year:

Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 7:48 AMIt’s good to see the tradition spreading to Brisbane and Adelaide. But maybe some new music next time? I believe Wizards in Winter was used by the Perth lights in 2008 and Music Box Dancer another year??
Anyway I have found the Perth lights (still my favourite) for this year to add to the list: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oN-ep7FJx2I
Merry Christmas!
Ryan's Christmas Lights
Thursday, December 17, 2009 at 9:45 AMWow, I see a video of my 2009 display has been picked up by Gizmodo.. awesome!
I’ve been decorating since 1999 and have been using computers to syncronise lights with music since 2005.
Andrew, the song above(Suite Christmas Rush by Carrie Lyn Infusion) was new in 2008, and as far as I am aware there is no other display in the world that uses it yet.
Other videos of my display (older songs):
Carol Of The Bells: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xObfP8qdCPQ
Music Box Dancer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VutqL8VtlNw
Wizards In Winter: http://vimeo.com/7998287
Anyway, Merry Christmas everybody and thanks for checking out Ryan’s Christmas Lights 2009.
