Remember back in February when we told you about SpinVox, the speech-to-text service that converts your voicemail into SMS messages for Telstra customers? Well, if you’re an Optus mobile customer, you’ll be able to enjoy the same service in the near future. There’s little information in the way of pricing and when it will be available, other than ’2009′, but considering that we still don’t have a visual voicemail functionality here in Australia, this is a pretty decent substitute. Stay tuned for more.

Thanks for the post, thought I’d drop a note and say that although Visual Voicemail is kinda cool… We think that Visible Voicemail is actually much cooler.
Visual just shows you the envelopes your voicemail arrived in, for you to open (and listen to) at your leisure.
Visible opens them and shows you the content inside the envelopes. Meaning you can consume at a much faster pace and generally improve your productivity.
Without being a spam-head link-monkey,
I blogged why here: http://icanhaz.com/visiblevoicemail
Much love,
