Commonwealth Bank Launches iPhone App, Feels Rushed

commbank iphone app.pngThe Commonwealth Bank’s iPhone app went live this morning on iTunes, and it seems a little underdone. Which is odd, considering the iPhone has been available for 9 months now…Access to your account information, for example, just launches Safari to log into your bank details – something that can be done by saving a bookmark to your homepage. And the ATM/Branch locator functions actually require you to type in your suburb/address and select your state, rather than using the GPS function of your iPhone like the St. George/Westpac apps provide.

If you’re a Commonwealth Bank customer, it’s still a free download which will make access to your account easier, but it seems to lack anything that would really make it stand out as a banking app…
