Seeing as we’re on the heels of GenCon, board game companies have been showing off some of their best and brightest stuff over the past few weeks. Even as we head into mid-August, there’s still a lot of great scoops and news. Here’s a few of the highlights we spotted for this week.

And no, the X-Men aren't in Avengers: Infinity War, according to Joe Russo. Rupert Wyatt's next movie is a sci-fi project. Ronald D. Moore discusses the setting of Outlander's next season. Video: Man-Bear? Bear-Man? Either way, this Russian superhero movie looks rather intriguing. Directed by Sarik Andreasyan, Guardians is set during the Cold War, when a team of super-powered men and women were brought together as The Patriots from across the Soviet Union, to safeguard Russia from supernatural threats -- only to re-emerge years after the end of the Cold War, to protect their homeland once more.
