eBay is currently in the midst of a big tech sale. Yes, we know eBay is always in the midst of a big tech sale, but this one is actually worth a damn.

To celebrate its 19th birthday, eBay is offering some truly cracking bargains, including $333 off the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, 20% off Nintendo Switch consoles and $500 off Microsoft Surface laptops! Here are the highlights you need to know about.

A voice-activated microwave is a terrible idea and a pointless frivolity, a device which solves a problem almost no one had. Why trust your lying eyes? Amazon's Basics microwave (with Alexa!) is no such bauble, and as silly a creation as it may appear, it's the company's cutthroat business as usual.

People who wear contact lenses are often warned to properly clean their reusable contacts. A new study published Friday provides a sober reminder of why those warnings exist. Since 2011, it found, an outbreak of a rare infection that can cause blindness has been spreading among contact lens wearers in England, often thanks to poor hygiene.

Apple's new streaming service reportedly has a $US1 ($1.37) billion budget, but apparently it can't buy some nerve. The company has long censored its walled-garden offerings on platforms like the App Store, and per a report in the Wall Street Journal on Saturday, Apple is still aiming to keep its content offerings squeaky clean, with little "gratuitous sex, profanity or violence."
