Yesterday, Lucasfilm officially announced the title for Episode VIII: Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Now that it’s finally in the wild, the movie’s director can finally make one tweak to the current cut of the film he’s presumably been wanting to make for quite some time.
According to BBC Newsnight, the Walt Disney Company is negotiating with Carrie Fisher’s estate “over her continued appearance” in the Star Wars franchise.
Now that Rogue One is in theatres and the calendar has officially flipped to 2017, Star Wars fans can safely start their mass consumption of all information on Star Wars: Episode VIII. Writer-director Rian Johnson has just given us more clues about the film’s plot.
