The OnePlus Concept One is making its debut at OnePlus’ event on January 8.
As part of celebrating its sixth anniversary, OnePlus CEO Pete revealed that the company will be showing off a concept phone called Concept One at a special even during CES 2020.
The details around the handset are scarce, but the manufacturer says that the device “is only the first in a series to come and shows OnePlus’ commitment to applied, innovative technology – bringing users an ever smoother, faster, and more ‘burdenless’ experience.” The name is an extension of this ethos apparently, acting as a “clear promise” of the company’s intentions with the new series of phones.
We’ve already seen a glimpse of what we assume is next year’s OnePlus 8, that’s rumoured to feature a 120hz display. The Concept One’s “smoother, faster” descriptor could be referring to the screen, or its chip. What this ‘burdenless’ experience refers to, we can only guess. Is it a foldable handset? Who knows. But there’s not long to find out.
OnePlus’ special event is set for January 8, from 5am AEDT.
