After teasing its under-display selfie camera on Twitter earlier this month, Oppo has release a short and snazzy video of its handset sporting the feature.
The video cycles through the various iterations of front-facing cameras before settling on its current Oppo incarnation, hidden beneath the display. It’s not hugely informative, but does allude o more info heading our way today, at MWC Shanghai. The event runs from June 26-28 with Oppo’s Innovation Event running today.
It’s not the only company to be experimenting with under-display cameras; just a few hours after Oppo shared its first video of the new camera, Xiaomi unveiled its own under-display camera on Twitter too.
It’s the first time we’ve seen this kind of innovation but there are potential problems with a camera located under the display, but hopefully Oppo will address all of that very soon.
