This Hilarious Chrome Extension Blocks All Kanye News

Boy was it a weekend for Kanye. Between a small beef with Drake on Twitter that also somehow involved Ariana Grande to attempting to hunt down Hideo Kojima in New York – it’s been a lot.

But not everyone is down with the constant deluge of Kanye goss. Whether you’re sick of hearing about Ye every five minutes or are simply uninterested on what he has to say about every topic under the sun – you can now avoid any news about the rapper thanks to a simple Chrome extension.

Meet Snoozye.

The plug-in, created by Team BNE, works similarly to the Snooze function on Facebook Messenger. Users can choose to Snooze Kanye news for a fixed period of time, such as 24-hours or one week, or cancel him from their news feeds completely.

Once in effect, the extension will censor any Kanye images or mentions with overt yellow blocks. It basically leaves a page looking like a redacted document.

It’s pretty good, but not perfect. Google was still serving me images of West on its front page.

The Google News tab worked great, though.

It even censored this entire article when I previewed it, as well as the permalink in the Gizmodo CMS.

If this is relevant to your interests, you can download Snoozye here.
