There’s Now An Open World RPG Where You Play As A Shark

The PC Gaming Show just revealed one of the best games I’ve seen at E3 so far — An open world RPG where the protagonist is a shark who wants avenge its dead mum.

Yes, this is a shark themed revenge plot game. If that isn’t enough to get you on the hype train, how about the ability to upgrade your teeth?

Titled Maneater, the game is an action-RPG from Blindside Interactive and the publishers of Killing Floor and Depth. It’s set on the Gulf Coast, where the waters are unforgiving and where the shark learned to survive after being ripped from the loving fins of its mother. You can customise your shark via a stat-driven system, as well as evolve the shark’s body from improved functionality.

Here’s what the Steam page has to say about it:

“Maneater is a Single-Player Action RPG, set in the unforgiving waters of the Gulf Coast. Fight to survive in the open ocean, with danger lurking at every depth. Your only tools are your wits, your jaws, and an uncanny ability to evolve as you feed. Anything and everything is on the menu… kill or be killed.”

There’s no release date as yet, but you can find more info over on the Maneater website and Steam page.

You can watch the trailer right here, which is done in the style of a holiday resort promo video, which is quite cool.
