Marvel’s Runaways heads to Hulu in a couple of months, ready to give us a group of angsty, bitter teens who may not like each other, but are forced to team up after finding their parents performing a demonic ritual. Here’s the latest look at the sadistic elders, and their begrudgingly heroic offspring.
Entertainment Weekly has shared some photos and descriptions for the main characters in the adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona’s beloved Marvel comic series, along with a peek at The Pride, the supervillain group comprised of the protagonists’ parents. Just take a look at these fancy criminal masterminds. It wouldn’t be an evil gathering without crudités!
The post also describes the young heroes a bit: Chase Stein (Gregg Sulkin) is a star athlete and talented engineer; Karolina Dean (Virginia Gardner) is beautiful but weighed down by her overachieving parents; Alex Wilder (Rhenzy Feliz) is a video game nerd; the purple-haired Gert Yorkes (Ariela Barer) isdeep into social justice issues; and Molly Hernandez (Allegra Acosta), originally Molly Hayes in the comics, is the youngest of the group.
And then, of course, there’s the fabulous Nico Minoru (Lyrica Okano), seen here trying out for the inevitable The Craft reboot while performing some spells as an aspiring Wiccan. Yessssss.
Marvel’s Runaways debuts November 21 on Hulu.
