‘Shooty Skies’ Gets A Colourful Update To Support Marriage Equality

The marriage equality postal surveys are in the mail as we speak, and Aussie game studio Mighty Games is throwing its support behind a “Yes” vote in a colourful way – with a rainbow themed update to its classic title, Shooty Skies.

“Celebrating justice, equality, and general niceness,” Mighty says, the Rainbow Riders update introduces a whole spectrum of new pilots with cool names, too – like Carmine San Francisco and Mr Sunshine. There are nine pilots to collect, including three secret ones.

There’s a vivid new landscape full of rainbows and love, new tunes “for joyous merriment”, two new missions and “clever behind-the-scenes trickery” promising to make boss fights even more fun.

“We’ve always been proud of our wonderfully diverse team, so it’s important for us to encourage everyone to vote YES for love, acceptance and equality – in Australia and beyond,” Studio co-founder Ben Britten said.

“All of our staff and our community are accepted and appreciated for who they are, and we want to make sure all Australians feel that same kind of love. So please, fill in your ballot and vote YES!”

Shooty Skies is free to download from the App Store and Google Play.
