New details on the next Purge movie have been revealed. Production has begun on Guy Ritchie’s live-action Aladdin. Plus, an even better look at Snoke in The Last Jedi, and a new clip from Professor Marston & The Wonder Woman. Spoilers get!
Han Solo
Making Star Wars has a new report detailing the Millennium Falcon’s role in the movie — it is, as you’d expect at this point in the Star Wars timeline, owned by Lando Calrissian rather than Han, and will at some point will actually haul some cargo, thanks to a detachable attachment on the front two prongs of the ship designed to hook freight up to the ship. Most interestingly however, is details on the Falcon’s actual appearance: The ship will look fairly new in the film, with a white coat of paint all over and blue markings — MSW compares it to a piece of Revenge of the Sith concept art made for the ship’s brief cameo in the prequel.
Meanwhile Ron Howard’s latest set photo seems to depict a brawl at a Cantina, which, I guess this wouldn’t be a Han Solo movie without one.

The Purge: The Island
Speaking with Vulture, James DeMonaco stated the fourth Purge movie will be a prequel centered on the country’s first experimental purge:
It takes place on Staten Island which is cool — the first experimental Purge. Next July 4, it will be coming. OK, let me think what I can give. I said it’s the first experimental Purge, which I don’t know if I was supposed to say, but now I’ve said it, so you have it.
I think Island is the most crowd-pleasing of the films … More than the previous films, there’s a singular hero in this movie. This is one man’s journey, William, an anti-hero inspired by Eastwood in Unforgiven, so it’s this very cool, modern, kind of badass who redeems himself through the story.
Treasure of Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves
Deadline reports Martin Campbell has been tapped to direct a new adaptation of Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves. In a press release, Campbell stated:
This is a great opportunity to do something with international appeal and huge franchise potential. I want this to be my Indiana Jones.
A Quiet Place
Principal photography has begun on John Krasinski’s directorial debut, a supernatural thriller starring himself and Emily Blunt, according to a press release from Paramount. [Coming Soon]
Star Wars: The Last Jedi
/Film got their hands on a Topps trading card which gives us our first non-toy look at Supreme Leader Snoke. Unsurprisingly, he looks exactly the same as his humongous holographic avatar in The Force Awakens, just… not blue?
Empire also has this photo of Finn and Rose in Canto Bight, adjacent to some Fifth Element-looking aliens.
Aladdin
Production has begun on Guy Ritchie’s Aladdin, with Will Smith sharing a new photo of the primary cast:

Arrow
Speaking to Collider, producer Marc Guggenheim revealed Arrow‘s sixth season has received a 23-episode season order, which will include a two-part Slade arc.
Legends of Tomorrow
Finally, episode six of the new season is intriguingly titled, “Helen Hunt”. We can only hope she makes an appearance, or the legends just so happen to be on the hunt for someone named Helen?
