The crime-fighting duo of Hawk and Dove are going to be recurring characters on DC’s upcoming show, Titans, and now those roles have been cast.

Deadline reports that Alan Ritchson will play Hawk and Minka Kelly will play Dove on the show, which will premiere in 2018 on DC’s upcoming streaming service. Neither actor will be a series regular in season one, but that could happen in season two. There’s also a possibility of a Hawk and Dove spinoff show for the platform.
Kelly is best known for her role as Lyla Garrity on NBC’s Friday Night Lights, and has since been on a bunch of different shows, including Parenthood, The Path and Almost Human. Ritchson is the man behind Raphael in the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies, but also appeared in the second Hunger Games movie and even played Aquaman on Smallville. So it’s a return to DC TV for him.
In the comics, Hawk and Dove are a crime-fighting team with a ying and yang style. They’re second-tier characters when it comes to Titans, but with these actors playing them, you can certainly see the potential for more from them in the future.
Titans will premiere in 2018.
