The Addams Family got a trio of popular 1990s movies (and a really great pinball game). So it’s time for that other spooky TV family to have a revival. After a false start a few years back, the Munsters are finally returning to the small screen — and 1313 Mockingbird Lane is apparently moving postcodes.

Deadline got the scoop, and reports:
Inspired by the original series, the half-hour single-camera The Munsters, now in development, follows members of an offbeat family who are determined to stay true to themselves but struggle to fit in in hipster Brooklyn. (In the original, the Munsters resided at the famous 1313 Mockingbird Lane address in the city of Mockingbird Heights, a fictional suburb in California.)
Hipster Brooklyn, you say? So, fish-out-of-water jokes about funny moustaches and fancy coffee? Will they still drive awesome hot rods? Eddie Munster will be in a band, right? The project, from Seth Meyers and Jill Kargman (Bravo’s Odd Mom Out, based on her book about rich “momzillas” making power moves on the Upper East Side), is now in development at NBC. The network previously attempted a Munsters revival (titled Mockingbird Lane, written by American Gods‘ Bryan Fuller, and starring Jerry O’Connell as Herman Munster) back in 2012, but ended up airing the pilot as a standalone Halloween special instead.
