The latest attempt to remake Invasion of the Body Snatchers has found its writer. Fox wants to bring the world of Mega Man to the big screen. T.J. Miller hypes up the humour of Deadpool 2. Plus, new Dark Tower footage, a familiar face returns to The X-Files, and when to expect The Walking Dead‘s return. To me, my spoilers!
Avengers: Infinity War
A new supposed behind-the-scenes image from filming shows a shot of Doctor Strange and Spider-Man teaming up, with Strange ominously telling Peter, “Protect them, they’re not dead.”
Mega Man
THR reports that Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman, the filmmakers behind Catfish, are in final negotiations to direct a film adaptation of the popular Capcom video game franchise. Heroes‘ Masi Oka and Chernin Entertainment will produce the film with 20th Century Fox.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
Deadline reports David Leslie Johnson (Dungeons & Dragons, The Conjuring 2) has been hired to write a fourth remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
Bird Box
According to THR, Sandra Bullock is in talks to star in an adaptation of Josh Malerman’s alien invasion novel, Bird Box. Presumably, Bullock will play the story’s main character, Malorie, a woman who must courier her children to safety as flaming alien hell reigns down from above.
Han Solo
Here’s an even better photo of Lando Calrissian, this time leaping into hyperspace aboard the Millennium Falcon.

Bumblebee
Omega Underground claims the solo Bumblebee movie’s official title is now Transformers Universe: Bumblebee. According to the site, the spinoff enters production July 31.
Silver & Black
Speaking with Variety, director Gina Prince-Blythewood stated she’s interested in making the Silver Sable/Black Cat movie as “the story of two damaged women who are at war with each other but need each other to survive”.
Venom
In the same article, Columbia Picture’s president Sanford Panitch stated the prompt for Venom is to “draw on the work of John Carpenter or David Cronenberg” but with “more pop and fun”. Not sure if they can really pull it off, but a John Carpenter-style Venom movie sounds awesome.
Spider-Man: Homecoming 2
THR reports director Jon Watts is now officially in talks to return for the sequel. Who could have possibly guessed?!
Black Panther
T’Challa rides a Lexus in a new image from THR.
Deadpool 2
T.J. Miller has once again stated the sequel will be funnier then its predecessor — this time to Screen Rant.
I was crying so hard laughing that I dropped an iPad in a public restaurant when I was reading the script. As Ryan [Reynolds] and I were talking about, it’s this great thing where we know the tone, we know the stakes, everybody’s played these characters before — most importantly, we know the tone, we know how to hit it pitch perfect. So I think it might actually be funnier than the first one. I’m really, really excited.
The Dark Tower
Stephen King, Idris Elba and more discuss the world of The Dark Tower in this new featurette. More importantly, this one actually contains some monster footage!
Brigsby Bear
We also have a new trailer for the weirdly charming Brigsby Bear, starring Claire Danes and Mark Hamill.
The X-Files
Good news! Mitch Pileggi is returning to play Walter Skinner, according to Deadline.
The Gifted
A tie-in viral website espousing the dangers of the mutant gene called Sentinel Services features secret messages from Blink, Polaris and Eclipse. Click “Get Tested” in the upper-right-hand corner to see their hacked video missives.
American Horror Story
Lena Dunham has joined the cast of season seven, according to Ryan Murphy on Twitter. (This is the 2016 US election-themed season, in case you’d already repressed it.)
Thrilled that my talented friend Lena Dunham is joining the AMERICAN HORROR STORY family. Always wanted to work together, and now we r!

The Originals
Steven Krueger has been promoted to series regular, and Candice King will appear in the season premiere, according to TV Line.
Teen Wolf
THR reports that MTV is considering a reboot of Teen Wolf mere weeks before the series finale. Here’s MTV president Chris McCarthy on the matter:
These characters and these stories have hit a peak. We are talking with [show runner] Jeff [Davis] about how do we actually keep that franchise alive. And the beauty of the evolution of media is you can see the series going on through a series of podcasts and then see a resurrection of a new class in a couple years.
Agents of SHIELD
Clark Gregg teased the return of the Secret Warriors on Instagram.
Game of Thrones

The Walking Dead/Fear the Walking Dead
The new season premieres in the US October 22, just in time for Halloween.
TV Line also has this poster for the third season of Fear the Walking Dead, its noble spinoff.
