There’s a late-breaking addition to Valerian‘s cast. We know when to expect Netflix’s Punisher series to release. Josh Gad just can’t stop fanning the flames of those Batman rumours. The Batman
Josh Gad continues to freak everyone out by implying he’s playing the Penguin in some capacity with a new photo from a recent trip to DC’s headquarters. Could be a voiceover role, could be an ongoing joke, but that’s not going to stop the internet from flipping the hell out either way, is it?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Rian Johnson spoke to Vanity Fair about Canto Bight, a pleasure planet for the Star Wars ruling class in the movie:
What we’re going to see in The Last Jedi are some people who have managed to carve out a life for themselves where they can live apart from the galactic struggle. They found a way to live above it or beyond it. There’s a class of wealthy that have helped build all sorts of loopholes in society that will always ensure that they will survive or even thrive no matter what else is happening out there.
Okja
Netflix has released seven new character posters. See the rest at the link. [Screenrant]
It Comes at Night
Here’s the final trailer for A24’s plague movie.
Spider-Man: Hoemcoming
Happy Hogan picks his nose and bosses Peter around in another NBA Finals tie-in spot.
The Flash
TV Line reports season four’s archvillain will be Clifford DeVoe, AKA the Thinker — who, thank God, isn’t a speedster, but a failed lawyer who uses technology to give him advanced telekinetic powers and mind control abilities.
No casting details for the role were confirmed yet, but if you were paying attention in the season finale, Savitar/Evil Barry Allen hinted that DeVoe would be a future foe for Team Flash, so this isn’t too surprising if true.
Riverdale
Skeet Ulrich’s deadbeat dad FP Jones has been promoted to series regular for season two. [Deadline]
The Passage
Mark-Paul Gosselaar has joined Fox’s adaptation of the Justin Cronin vampire-outbreak drama from producer Ridley Scott. [Variety]
Jessica Jones
Speaking with Rotten Tomatoes, Krysten Ritter stated season two will be even more binge-able than the first, perhaps intimating that the season’s pacing will be a bit more even this time around:
I feel like it’s a binge show big time. This season maybe even more so than last. Even as I’m getting the episodes and reading them on the page, they ramp up so much at the end that it’s kinda hard to not want to just dive into the next one! So maybe try and savour it, but be prepared to cancel your weekend plans?
The Punisher
Netflix’s solo Punisher series will begin in November, according to director Dearbhla Walsh in an interview with THR.
One other time that hasn’t been aired yet, which was an episode for the new Marvel series The Punisher, which I did just before Christmas, but it’s not airing until November. I directed that in New York and edited in L.A., but this was my first directing experience in lovely Canada.
Stranger Things
On of the show’s young stars, Gaten Mattarazo, told The Huffington Post that season two ends on another cliffhanger.
…there are some new stories coming in that you’re gonna want to hear about if there is a Season 3. Also, we got another cliffhanger in there for ya, so that’s gonna be exciting.
Sharknado 5: Global Swarming
The full guest cast has been revealed — and even for the Sharknado franchise, it’s pretty outlandish.
Fabio is the Pope. Tony Hawk is a weapons expert. Clay Aiken is a tech genius. Olivia Newton-John and daughter Chloe Latanzi are scientists named Orion and Electra, respectively. Bret Michaels is a travelling artist. Margaret Cho plays “a fussy bride whose wedding is interrupted by sharks”. Charo is the Queen of England, opposite Chris Kattan’s Prime Minister of England. Gilbert Gottfried plays a storm chaser. Greg Louganis plays Zico, a renowned art thief. This list goes on, incredibly — check out Coming Soon for the rest.
The Originals
Finally, the Mikaelsons face the Hollow in the synopsis for the season four finale, “The Feast of All Sinners”.
THE END OF ALWAYS AND FOREVER — In an explosive season finale, the Mikaelsons find themselves out of options as they face the all-powerful and un-killable entity known as The Hollow. With the life of Hope (guest star Summer Fontana) at stake, Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) proposes a final, desperate plan — one that will force Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin), Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt) and Freya (Riley Voelkel) to make the greatest sacrifice their family has ever endured.
