Matt Reeves discusses his hopes for The Batman. The cast of Netflix’s Castlevania show has been revealed. Deadpool 2‘s cast expands, and already starts throwing around comic book references. Plus, a very blurry Doctor Who set picture might confirm a months-old rumour. To me, my Spoilers!
James Bond
While the future of the next Bond film remains mostly hidden — including whether or not Daniel Craig will return to the role — The Tracking Board’s Jeff Sneider claims that producers are apparently considering widening the Bond world to explore movies from different perspectives:
I’ve heard the Broccolis have caught Universe Fever and would love to explore other corners of the Bond franchise… simultaneously.

Ant-Man & the Wasp
MCU Exchange reports that Hannah John-Kamen is playing a “charismatic, eccentric, unpredictable and damaged” character named Dawn. It’s not known whether or not that’s the final name of her character, or a name designed to mask her true identity.
The Batman
Matt Reeves is planning to make a noir-detective film from Batman’s point-of-view:
What I try to do, in an almost Hitchcockian sense, is use the camera and use the storytelling so that you become the character, and you emphasise with that point of view. And I think there’s a chance to do an almost noir-driven detective version of Batman that is point-of-view driven in a very, very powerful way, that will hopefully connect you to what’s going on inside of his head and inside of his heart.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Speaking with the Huffington Post, Adam Driver stated Rian Johnson created “new rules” for the Star Wars universe with his movie:
[Johnson] created new rules for the Star Wars universe and balanced the familiar and unfamiliar very adeptly while respecting that his audience can handle ambiguity. Which you can see in his previous films. Characters and story are his priority.
The Forgotten
Variety reports that Stiles White will direct an English remake of the German horror film, Du Hast Es Verspochen, about a haunting at an island vacation home.
The Spiderwick Chronicles
Universal and Mike De Luca have won the film rights to the Spiderwick Chronicles franchise, according to Deadline.
Deadpool 2
Josh Brolin teased his battle-damaged cyborg Cable make-up on Instagram.
In related news, Julian Dennison of Hunt for the Wilderpeople fame has joined the cast.
Better still, an Alpha Flight reference has been spotted on set!

Spider-Man: Homecoming 2
Kevin Feige promises the MCU Spider-Man films will focus on villains we have yet to see in live-action.
What’s fun about this is it’s the first time Spider-Man is in the MCU. And the first time he’s played by an actor who is the age, essentially, Spidey was in the comics for so long. And, as Michael Keaton does with the Vulture, we get to explore villains we haven’t seen before. Spidey has an amazing rogues gallery, so at some point I think it might be interesting to revisit some of the characters we’ve seen in films before, but right now, we think there are a lot of new ones we haven’t played with yet.
My Little Pony
Here’s the trailer for the long-awaited movie outing for Equestria’s finest.

Meanwhile James Callis will voice Alucard, Alejandra Reynoso voices Sypha, Emily Swallow voices Lisa Tepes, Matt Frewer voices “The Bishop”, and Tony Amendola voices “The Elder”.
Castle Rock
Melanie Lynskey has joined the cast as its series lead, Molly Strand, “a woman with a rare medical condition who’s barely scraping by as a real estate agent in a town where every third property is the site of someone’s worst nightmare.” [Bloody-Disgusting]
Game of Thrones
Speaking with Rolling Stone, Emilia Clarke promised the new season of Game of Thrones will be “really interesting” as it begins to tie up the show’s various plot strands.
It’s a really interesting season in terms of some loose ends that have been tied, some really satisfying plot points, some things where you’re like, ‘Oh, my God. I forgot about that!’ Rumours are going to be confirmed or denied.
