Aaron Sorkin just revealed that he has “meetings” coming up with both Marvel and DC — despite the fact that he’s never read a comic book. He’d like someone to find a character that he’d just love. Let’s help him out, shall we?
My pick. (Image: Marvel)
The exact quote the writer and producer (The Social Network, Moneyball, The West Wing, The Newsroom) gave Comic Book.com was:
I happen to have meetings coming up with both DC and Marvel. I have to go into these meetings and tell them as respectfully as I can that I’ve never read a comic book. It’s not that I don’t like them. It’s just that I’ve never been exposed to one. So, I’m hoping that somewhere in their library is a comic book character that I’m gonna love and I’m gonna wanna go back and start reading from the first issue on.
First of all — lol at going back and reading everything for a character from the first issue. Hope this is for one of the movies far in the future, or a very new character.
I hate to do this — given that She-Hulk is great and Sorkin’s writing of female characters can be very variable — but a legal movie with Jennifer Walters might be great fit. Lots of walking and talking in that!
But you should chime in a give us your ideas in the comments.
