Most of Logan‘s marketing was presented in crisp, moody black-and-white, but the film itself is not — and its lonesome Western backdrops and dystopian road-trip vibes come through in some of the movie’s concept art, created by illustrator and designer Shae Shatz.

These pieces are primarily evocative, but if you saw the movie this past weekend you’ll surely recognise where some of these settings ended up in the film. Seeing the cowboy hat on Logan in these paintings is also a nice touch — although he didn’t wear one in the movie, the film is basically a Western anyway, so it fits perfectly.
