Black Magic Becomes One Of The Stages Of Grief In New Trailer For A Dark Song

Video: Liam Gavin’s unconventional horror film A Dark Song impressed the hell out of us at Fantastic Fest last year, and now there’s an eerie new trailer ahead of its upcoming US release, as well as an appropriately sinister new poster.

Black Magic Becomes One Of The Stages Of Grief In New Trailer For A Dark Song

Here’s the official synopsis, followed by the new trailer:

An unholy alliance between two damaged souls leads them on a disturbing descent into the depraved realms of black magic. Sophia (Catherine Walker) is a grieving and desperate woman with a secret. Joseph (SIGHTSEERS’ Steve Oram) is an anti-social, alcoholic expert in the occult who reluctantly agrees to help her. Holed up in a remote cabin amidst the desolate wilds of Northern Wales, the two embark on a gruelling six-month series of dark rituals that will push them both to the physical and psychological breaking point.

A Dark Song hits theatres, VOD and select digital platforms in the US on April 28. An Australian release has not yet been announced.
