Qantas’ 2017 Safety Video Doesn’t Actually Include A Plane

Although they’re not quite as inventive as Air New Zealand, Qantas makes some beautiful inflight safety videos. Its latest one is the best yet, and does a very good job of keeping your interest and showing you exactly what to do in the case of an emergency, without actually showing a plane at all.

From St Kilda Pier in Victoria to Sydney Harbour to the Field of Light at Uluru, this six-and-a-half minute video shows off some of the most beautiful parts of the country. It uses those spots to show you what you should be doing when you’re onboard — everything from stowing your luggage and fastening your seatbelt to bracing in case of an emergency.

This particular video is for passengers flying on Qantas’ Airbus A380s which usually fly between Sydney/Melbourne and London/USA, including one of the world’s longest routes between Sydney and Dallas Fort Worth on QF7/8. [YouTube]
