A Familiar Villain Is Returning For Black Panther

Black Panther

Marvel has officially released the cast list for the film to confirm that production on the movie has begun. There aren’t many surprises on it — especially as recent set pictures already confirmed that Martin Freeman would be returning as Everett K. Ross — but it does reveal that Andy Serkis is seemingly reprising his role as Ulysses Klaw from Age of Ultron, as a primary member of the cast.

It’s not too surprising given that Klaw’s brief appearance in Ultron was pretty much to start laying down hints for the arrival of Black Panther in the MCU, but it’s nice to get confirmation. You can check out the full cast list below:

Marvel Studios announced today that production has begun on “Black Panther,” starring Chadwick Boseman (“Captain America: Civil War,” “Get on Up”), Michael B. Jordan (“Creed,” “Fruitvale Station”), Academy Award® winner Lupita Nyong’o (“Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “12 Years a Slave”), Danai Gurira (“The Walking Dead,” upcoming “All Eyez on Me”), Martin Freeman (“Hobbit” trilogy, “Sherlock”), Daniel Kaluuya (upcoming “Get Out,” “Sicario”), with Academy Award® nominee Angela Bassett (“American Horror Story,” “London Has Fallen”), with Academy Award® winner Forest Whitaker (“Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” Lee Daniels’ “The Butler”), and Andy Serkis (“Avengers: Age of Ultron,” “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”).

Additional cast members include Letitia Wright (“Urban Hymn,” “Glasgow Girls”), Winston Duke (“Person of Interest, “Modern Family”), Florence Kasumba (“Captain America: Civil War,” “Emerald City”), Sterling K. Brown (“Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”) and John Kani (“Captain America: Civil War,” “Coriolanus”).

Beauty & the Beast

Eleven new motion posters for the film have been released for the film. You can watch 11 different characters slowly turn their heads and upper torsos while their names and the film’s title shimmer into view, at your discretion, with the videos below.

The Vampire Diaries

Nina Dobrev will indeed be returning to play Elena — who was last left in a deep sleep that could only be awakened with the death of her best friend, Bonnie, in season six — for the show’s series finale.

I know it’s Thursday, but this is not a TBT. #BackOnSet #TVDForever

Arrow

Showrunner Wendy Mericle says Tina Boland, the mysterious woman introduced in the closing minutes of the mid-season premiere — and who could become the next incarnation of the Black Canary on the show — brings “a very different energy, a different vibe” to the show. Tina also has “a lot of emotional connection with Oliver” according to Mericle, and will have a tragic backstory that will even rival Oliver’s island shenanigans. [TV Line]

Legends of Tomorrow

Marc Guggenheim teases future crossovers between the show and other DC/CW series, and other crossovers between Flash and Arrow:

Next week’s episode of Arrow features, I will say, the fastest crossover with Flash we’ve ever had.

We, just yesterday, made an offer to an actor to reprise their role from one of the other shows in the season finale of Legends. Oh, and in the penultimate episode we’re gonna have — I can’t be specific about this, but it’s one of the most fun things I think we’ve ever done on the show — a character from one of the other shows on Legends in a way that you’ve never seen before, you may never see again, but will, I think, just send fans into squeals of joy.

Sleepy Hollow

Meanwhile, Van (Alan Tudyk) takes advantage of Ron’s (Ron Funches) good nature and has him assemble a toy in hopes of preoccupying his new girlfriend’s child. Christina Kirk also stars. Jennie Pierson recurs.

Game of Thrones

Maisie Williams vaguely teases some highs and lows ahead for Arya in the next season:

This year it really kind of heats up. Particularly for Arya, there’s some really high points… there’s some really low points, too.
