More Marvel Heroes Are Confirmed Not For Infinity War, But Avengers 4

One of the villains for Logan is finally confirmed. A familiar face from the Power Rangers show will be in the movie. A ton of new Kryptonians have been cast for Krypton. Plus, new footage from Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders and Doctor Strange, and a look at MTV’s new vigilante series, Sweet/Vicious. To me, my spoilers!

More Marvel Heroes Are Confirmed Not For Infinity War, But Avengers 4

Ant-Man and the Wasp

Evangeline Lily gives an update on the film to Blastr.

Right now, an initial script has been created, but it has not been approved by the higher powers that be, by [Kevin] Feige. So I haven’t seen it yet, I haven’t actually seen the script. I have talked to Peyton [Reed] about where they’re heading and what they want to focus on. I’m excited because it’s essentially going to be the origin of the Wasp. Of course, we’re going to see the Wasp for the first time take on the mantle and put on the suit and fly about and do her thing.

Avengers 4

In the same interview, Lily also confirmed the Wasp (and Ant-Man) will not appear in Avengers: Infinity War, but will appear in the as-yet-untitled follow-up:

…And then following that one, there’s an Avengers series coming out, it’s a two-parter. The Wasp won’t be in the first part, she’ll be in the second part because they really want to preserve that reveal for Ant-Man and the Wasp so they can give it its due time.

Logan

A new Instagram for the movie has released a few new images, confirming previous rumours that Boyd Holbrook is playing Donald Pierce, the mutant-hating cyborg who becomes leader of the Reavers in the comics, a persistent foe of the X-Men.

Power Rangers

An updated synopsis for the film has been released:

Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove — and the world — is on the very foe being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers.

Dean Israelite has confirmed that Goldar, Rita’s gold-loving henchman, will appear in the film. [ScreenRant]

Doctor Strange

Here are two new TV spots for the film.

Jumanji

Dwayne Johnson has another update from the set.

Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders

The Batmobile rides into action in a new clip.

Krypton

A bunch of casting for the prequel series has been revealed. Ian McElhinney will play Val-El, “a rogue genius who believes that space exploration is a basic form of self-defence, and he has tried, without success, to warn the Kryptonian elite about the arrival of an ancient threat”. Elliot Cowan has been cast as Daron Vex, “the Chief Magistrate of Kandor” whose “real business is defending Krypton’s established oligarchy against heretics and dissidents”.

Meanwhile, Ann Ogbomo will play Alura Zod, Lyta Zod’s mother and a leader of Krypton’s military guild; Rasmus Hardicker will play Kem, “a brilliant engineer” as well as close friend of Superman’s grandfather, Seg-El; Wallis Day will play Nyssa Vex, Daron Vex’s daughter; and lastly, Aaron Pierre is Dev-Em, a cadet that operates under Alura’s command.

Don’t get too attached, they will all blow up at the end of the show. [Deadline]

Riverdale

Raul Castillo has joined the cast as Oscar, “a serious, successful songwriter from New York who is also a visiting professor at Carson College, located in Riverdale”. Oscar, who debuts in the series’ fifth episode, ends up as a potential mentor for Archie on his path to a music career. [THR]

Blindspot

Here’s a brief synopsis for episode seven of season two, “Resolve Eleven Myths”.

Rich Dotcom (Ennis Esmer) returns to the FBI when he needs help with a pressing issue.
