Star Wars: Episode VIII
A new video shot of location filming appears to show Luke Skywalker (or apparently, a stand-in for Mark Hamill in Luke’s robes) meditating on a large rocky outcropping, presumably part of sequences set on the planet he was found on at the end of The Force Awakens, Ahch-To.
According to Making Star Wars, the scene involving Luke’s meditation has been leaked in concept art, and involves Luke imagining two suns in the sky above him, presumably a recollection of his life on Tatooine. As ever with reports like this, take it with a pinch of salt.
Meanwhile, Daisy Ridley has taken to Instagram to release a picture from filming — judging by the environment, it seems like more footage on Ahch-To.
Goonies 2
Corey Feldman is sceptical the movie will ever happen:
Richard Donner is 87 years old. And it’s like, no one really wants to make it without him. He’s the driving force behind it. He says it’s still alive. But as we all know…When you get to that age, things slow down quite a bit. There is a big possibility that he might not want to keep driving it. So, I think without him, it doesn’t happen. And every day that passes, that he doesn’t do it, there is less and less chance that it is ever going to happen at all.

Game of Thrones
John Bradley shares his thoughts on theories surrounding the armillary sphere shown in the Citadel during the finale:
I only became aware of that after I saw the episode. On the day, it was all green screen. It’s only after I saw the episode and people started telling me about the gyroscope. I think it could mean any number of things. One theory is that what we’re seeing now and how we’re experiencing Game of Thrones is Sam telling the story of Game of Thrones. If you take the logic of the story now, the story of Westeros and the story of the battle for the Iron Throne, it would be a book in that library. The visual motif of that is you’re about to be told a story — the sense of an idea of being told a story, and people gaining that knowledge, the way Sam is absorbing knowledge in the library.
The one thing I found moving about that object being the same in the Citadel and in the opening titles is that it’s a testament to [showrunner David Benioff and Dan Weiss’] foresight, that they can plan something that only comes to fruition much later on. It shows an incredible kind of long game, in terms of giving people drips of information and being brave enough to puzzle people for a while.

The Flash
Kevin Smith has confirmed his return to the director’s chair for season three’s seventh episode, while once again re-iterating his desire to direct Arrow as well:
I know I’m going back to The Flash, first week of September, to direct episode 7 of season 3. Still haven’t heard anything back from Arrow. You know, I wish, it would be amazing because I would love to write and direct Onomatopoeia in the show. Um, but I know they’re doing — what is it? — Wild Dog this year, as well as Vigilante, so maybe they’re just like ‘we don’t need you’, or whatever. But, at the moment, anyone over there raises a flag; I’m like ‘please, let me in!’ That would be fun as fuck.
