As LEGO Dimensions, the video game that mashes up all of your favourite pop-culture franchises, moves into its second year, the toymaker is pulling out all the stops when it comes to introducing new characters, worlds and vehicles. If you thought you could give your credit card a rest after the first series, you’re so very, very wrong.
Ahead of the E3 video game expo next week, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has shared the first trailer for the next wave of LEGO Dimensions expansion packs which will enhance the game with 16(!) new properties including characters and levels from the new Ghostbusters film, Adventure Time, Mission: Impossible, Harry Potter, The A-Team, The Goonies, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Sonic the Hedgehog, Teen Titans Go!, Knight Rider, The Powerpuff Girls, Gremlins, Beetlejuice and ET.
Some of the new expansion packs will be available starting on September 27, later this year. But the rest of the new series will slowly trickle out throughout the end of 2016 and well into 2017, similar to how the original LEGO Dimensions was slowly and agonisingly released. At least it gives you time to properly budget for every last one.
