Thor: Ragnarok

Mark Ruffalo teases the movie’s plans for the Hulk to E!:

I haven’t started filming, but I’ve been prepping for it and I’m really excited about it. I think we’re going to do some really cool stuff. We’re going to see some new stuff with the Hulk. We’re going to see some new stuff with [Bruce] Banner. We’re definitely going to see some new stuff for poor old Thor.

Avengers: Infinity War

Thanos actor Josh Brolin is filled with praise for the film’s story:

Yeah, I sat at a table and I listened to the story from beginning to end, which was… you know, sometimes you go around and you go, “Oh, it’s a great movie. Or this is a great experience,” and you kind of know that it’s not. This is the opposite.

First of all, from a publicity point of view, or an interest, I’ve gotten more publicity playing Thanos, even though I haven’t done it yet, than all other movies combined. If there’s any blurb of publicity at all for me, it includes Thanos in some way or another. “By the way, he’s got “Hail, Caesar!” coming out. But don’t forget about Thanos — that’s coming out,” which is amazing, which is really cool.

Then the other side of it is really how much it means to people. It all comes down… these stories… these Avengers stories all come down to this conclusion, and that’s our involvement. Basically, my character against everybody. And it’s really fun what they have chosen to do with the story. I think it’s brilliant, personally. I was blown away, and had goose pimples pretty much 50% of the time that I was listening to what was going on, and pretty amazed that I’m going to be involved in it. So it’s a big thing that’s coming up.

Zootopia 2

Disney wants to make a sequel or an animated series — or both — in the wake of the film’s huge success, according to Byron Howard:

There are so many ways you could go. It’s interesting to see, especially with Disney, once you finish one of these films, if it does land in a big way, it becomes so much bigger than us. It takes on a life of its own. A nice thing about being at Disney is that these movies can develop into a presence in theme parks and become something real, or maybe get a sequel, or tell other stories. The film is only 90 minutes long, and we only could fit so much in the film. There were so many environments we talked about, and animals we talked about. The fact that there are no reptiles or birds in the film was something we talked about.

… I’m particularly fond of Clawhauser. He’s funny. Nate Torrence, the guy who performs him, has such a richness. We have so many hours of him being hilarious and fun. If it was affordable to do a TV show that was the same quality as the movie, I would watch The Clawhauser Show, every week. I’d want to see what that dude got into. I could imagine that. I wish the technology was there. We would totally do that.

Legends of Tomorrow

TV Insider has announced that Vixen, the heroine who can use the spirit powers of animals previously seen in her own CW animated series and on Arrow, will be joining the cast of season two.

However, the Vixen in Legends will not be played by Megalyn Echikunwoke, who made a guest appearance on Arrow as Vixen and voices her in the CW Seed cartoon, but was unable to sign on for a season’s worth of filming due to other projects. Instead, the Vixen appearing in the show will be an incarnation of the hero plucked out of the past played by a new, unidentified actress, with ancestral ties to Mari McCabe.

Arrow

Stephen Amell teases Olicity’s future in the next season:

I know that it was important, especially at the end of season four with everything that happened and with Laurel Lance’s death that their relationship get put on the back burner because I think that there were more pressing issues, obviously. So, I don’t know what’s gonna happen in season five. I do know that… I don’t believe that they begin season five together, so we’ll see where it goes from there.

Zapped

Finally, Steve Coogan is developing a new fantasy comedy series in the UK about a hapless office worker who finds himself trapped in a parallel fantasy world. Here’s a synopsis:

Brian Weaver (James Buckley), an online data marketing assistant (even he doesn’t know what that is) finds himself abruptly transported to a parallel world. Fortunately, there’s a pub. There he meets the owner, Herman (a former warrior; Louis Emerick) plus a handful of regulars: Barbara (a hopeless soothsayer; Sharon Rooney), Steg (an armchair revolutionary; Ken Collard) and Howell (a brain-fried Wizard; Paul Kaye).

Brian is desperate to get home, and his new acquaintances are no help at all. Instead he finds himself being sucked into a world he doesn’t understand, full of psychopathic Fairies, Shell Men, seductive Demi-Fins, vicious Throcks and the frighteningly unpredictable side-effects of Howell’s magical powers. It’s even worse than being an online data marketing assistant.
