Monsters & Machines Is An Online Database Of Movie & Video Game Critters

I don’t think anyone specifically asked for a website where you can look up all sorts of creatures — organic and mechanical — from your favourite movies and games. Yet, here we are and if you hit up the online locale of Monsters & Machines, that’s exactly what you’ll get.

Having trouble remembering the bipedal antagonist of Jurassic Park? Er, well, if you happen to be the only person in the world with this particular gap in your entertainment memory, here’s a refresher.

For something a little more esoteric, the Ringwraiths from Lord of the Rings didn’t ride dragons in battle — they were actually Fell Beasts. Be sure to bring up this bit of trivia at your next trilogy marathon.

It even features the tentacles from The Mist and while a bit terrifying, they lack the personality of the above two. Not that I had plans to invite a dinosaur or evil high-fantasy winged mount to birthday.

If I have one criticism, it’s that it needs more content. While it has a good spread, it’s not very deep, though I’m guessing that will improve with time.
