Sony Xperia M5 And C5 Ultra Handsets Get Australian Pricing

Sony’s Xperia M5 and C5 Ultra handsets will be arriving sooner rather than later, with the manufacturer updating its Australian website with pricing for both. Free shipping is included, but there’s where the good news stops.

Unfortunately, as Ausdroid’s Daniel Tyson notes, the phones are marked as “Currently out of stock”, so if you were hoping to pick one up on the sly — no dice.

The Xperia M5 is the more expensive of the pair, coming in at $599. Available in black, gold or white, the phone is comes with a 2GHz 64-bit X10 eight-core processor, 5-inch 1080p display, up to 16GB of internal storage (with microSD card support for more), and a 21.5-megapixel rear camera. The M5 measures 145 x 72 x 7.6mm and weights 142.5g.

As for the C5 Ultra, it’s a bit cheaper at $549. This gets you either a black, white or “cool mint” unit with a 1.7GHz eight-core CPU, 6-inch 1080p display, 16GB with expandable storage and a 13-megapixel camera. The C5 Ultra is a little bigger than the M5 at 164.2 x 79.6 x 8.2mm and 187g, but it does come with a chunkier battery (2930mAh versus 2600mAh) and I’m sure some will appreciate the physically larger size.

Update: These phones are now available from the Good Guys for the C5 Ulta and Vodafone for the M5, while both are also available directly from Sony.
