Adult video website Pornhub has dug through their search history to find out exactly what the ladies want when it comes to naughty content. Last year Pornhub found that 23% of it’s users are women, which has increased to 24% this year. So what are the ladies searching for?
Luke already covered what young people want from their porn, but now we have an unique insight into a growing user segment.
For the study, Pornhub actually teamed up with RedTube and The Daily Beast to really nail down how females are engaging with porn.
First up, how old are female users? The biggest proportion fall into the 18–24 bracket, followed by those aged 25 to 34. Impressively those over 65 still make up 4% of users.
The top three most searched for terms by women are ‘lesbian’, ‘threesome’ and ‘squirt’. Compared to last year, Pornhub say these terms have not changed but do note that lesbian related searches are moving up.
The terms that had the biggest growth over the last year are pretty interesting too. It seems women like celebrity sex, as well as a good massage and cunnilingus from a man.
Take note, that seems like a solid foreplay line-up. Some of the other search terms might be a little trickier to work into your love life though.
It’s also worth noting that right down the bottom of the graph, both ‘hard fast fuck’ and ‘romantic sex’ have seen a 125% increase.
So what about terms women search most for, compared to men? Pornhub crunched the numbers and found the top 5 results are all about vaginal oral sex. The ladies are also pretty keen on searching for lesbian action.
What about categories most viewed? It seems women are after lesbians, gay males and big dicks. When it comes to categories viewed more than men, ‘For Women, ‘Lesbian’ and ‘Solo Male’ are the top choices.
Ok, but what about Pornstars? Lady porn viewers want to see Kim Kardashian, Farrah Abraham, Lisa Ann and James Deen.
Interestingly James Deen is the most searched for pornstar by women, compared to men. I had to Google who ‘mandingo’ was and no, it was not a half dog, half man pornstar.
Ok, so we have a pretty good picture of what the ladies are searching for. But where do these porn loving lasses hail from?
Compared to the worldwide average of 24% female viewers, the Philippines and Brazil take the lead with 35% female viewers. India and Argentina come in a close second with 30%. India has made an impressive improvement too, up from 26% last year.
What about us Aussies? We are actually in an impressive 7th place, with an above average 28% of our ladies loving Pornhub.
Spanish and Russian women are taking a little break (or maybe the gents are stepping up their viewership) and are the only countries where female porn viewing habits have dropped.
Pornhub has put together a handy world map that shows what countries have a higher or lower proportion of female viewers.
So how long do the ladies spend on Pornhub? The world average for females is 10:10, compared to 9:22 for Men.
Once again the Philippines takes the lead, with 13:31 for women, compared to 12:14 for men.
Australia comes in at third place, with 10:41 minutes for women and 9:51 for men.
Interestingly Russia is the only country where women are quicker than men!
Of course it would be fascinating to compare this data to countries average internet speed. Are we Aussies spending longer just because we have to wait for our slow internet to buffer or videos?
