There’s An Italian Restaurant With Its Own Human-Powered Theme Park

Italian restaurants are (quite rightly) famous for their food, but Ai Pioppi, a family-owned restaurant a little north of Venice, is renowned for something quite different: a hand-built theme park, complete with 360-degree swings and rollercoasters, all powered by your feeble little legs.

YouTuber Tom Scott went on a visit to the theme park, to check out the attractions, all of which are hand-welded by the owner, Bruno, in his spare time over the last 40 years. The rides are a marvel of engineering and physics, a good lesson in the conservation of momentum. And also safety — the film ends with seven stitches in the face of our dashing YouTube star. [YouTube]
