New York and Paris are two of the best cities in the world, both filled with culture, art, food, fashion, people, landmarks, museums, historical significance, quirks and so forth. Naturally, people of one city like to imagine their city as better than the other and vice versa. This fun animation shows how the cities compare, side by side.
n 2012 Penguin Books published Vahram Muratyan’s book called “Paris versus NewYork”. Being huge fans of Vahram’s work, Nord Collective always wanted to create animated version of the book. To make this tribute real we couldn’t just use original illustrations directly, so we used Vahram’s ideas as base, completely reworked design and illustrations trying to keep visual similarity to original, animated all scenes and asked our dear friend The Cosmic Setter to write and perform original music and sound design for this project.
