Gone are the days of twee, culturally cringe-worthy Australian films. With movies like Wyrmwood and the locally-produced Mad Max: Fury Road, our film industry is alive and kicking. Infini is the latest action-horror movie on the scene, and it looks brilliantly terrifying.

Infini is set in the 23rd Century and tells the story of a group of soldiers sent to a distant outpost after a biological infection. Their mission is to recover the lone survivor of the outbreak and bring him back to Earth. What they find is much worse than that.
It looks like Aliens meets Sunshine with a scary virus thrown in for good measure.
It hits local cinemas on 8 May, and I can’t wait!
