Satellite NBN Customers Are Reportedly Getting Shafted On Their Data Caps

Feel like signing up to an NBN Co satellite plan? Check the fine print: according to a new report, the satellite service ain’t all that thanks to new data use clauses.

According to a new report from The Register, NBN satellite providers are pulling their high-volume plans in favour of capped 20GB offerings under a new “fair use” clause.

NBN Co has reportedly contacted ISPs saying that the service is so popular it has had to add more bandwidth to cope with demand, but to balance the load it has asked them to remove “large anytime data allowances”.
