Marco Polo is Netflix’s new big-budget original series filmed on location in Malaysia, Kazakhstan and Italy — produced by Hollywood heavyweights The Weinstein Company for $90 million. It’s about the early years of explorer Marco Polo, set in the court of Kbulai Khan, grandson of Genghis Khan. It’ll be part of Netflix’s big push into Australia in March 2015.
