HTC’s attempt to take on GoPro with a, err, plastic periscope wasn’t its finest hour. But, according to its North Asia president Jack Tong, it now plans to give it a second try.
Speaking to Focus Taiwan, Tong said that HTC will launch a new standalone camera next year. An attempt to grow its product range in the face of dwindling smartphone sales, there are no further details available about what to expect in the second iteration just yet.
