If you’re a Snapchat user, you might notice something familiar in your Friends feed today: the social network has sent a correspondent down to Melbourne to cover the race that stops a nation and share it live around the world.
Snapchat is showing users around the world how Melbourne parties today, with a correspondent sending tens of snaps from the paddock in Flemington.

Snapchat Live is a new initiative from the ephemeral social network which aims to send snap-happy correspondents to big events around the world and show users around the world the snaps as they happen. Events covered so far have included Diwali in India, EDC in Las Vegas and the most recent FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
