Nexus 4 And Nexus 7 (2012) Will Also Get Android Lollipop

At its initial announcement, Google neglected to detail the software fate of two of its ageing devices — the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 7 (2012). Luckily, Android Lollipop will also extend to include its more senior family members.

Google has left devices out software updates before. Last year, the Nexus Galaxy saw no KitKat love, but that was more of a hardware issue with Texas Instruments leaving the SoC game than anything else, according to Ars Technica.

So if you’re still in love with your old Nexus devices, it looks like you at least get to spend one more year together with Google’s latest and greatest software, which is much more than just material design. [Android Central/Ars Technica]
