Saddle up and set the DVR, because AMC’s drama on the genesis of the personal computer, Halt and Catch Fire, will be back next year for a second season.
According to Deadline, AMC has ordered a second season of the show that brought a very modest viewership of about 1.3 million viewers. I’m going to try to give AMC the benefit of the doubt here, especially because it’s so good at stylised period dramas, and hope that things get better in 1984. Because the beginnings of the PC is a story worth telling, it just hasn’t been told very well so far. [Deadline h/t @hankstuever]
