Apple’s Futuristic Spaceship Campus Is Slowly Coming Together

Work is well underway at Apple’s new campus in Cupertino, California. The new, circular building is set to open in 2016, will host Apple’s future product and development keynotes and events — and it’s starting to look like the spaceship that everyone says it is.

The massive, circular, Tron ring-esque Apple Campus 2 broke ground earlier this year, and in April it was starting to take shape. Now, as this shot from Instagrama shows, it’s starting to form an actual structure.

The new campus will house as many as 13,000 staff and include a cafe with space for 3000 people, an auditorium with 1000 seats, a fitness centre and an orchard. Apples, presumably. [9To5Mac]
