Not long ago we covered an Indiegogo venture that was too good an idea not to let the world know. Six months later Moments Lost: A Blade Runner Tribute has come to complete fruition and it brought some really succulent Blade Runner fanfiction along with it.
On display at the Bottleneck Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn Moments Lost will feature a brand new, beautifully composed extension to the classic Blade Runner soundtrack accompanied by a selection of art work.
Featuring the work of famous Sci Fi artist Kilian Eng along with others, the show features eight unique stories based on of the Blade Runner mythos. Each story matches up with an individual original track off the CD created by Analogue Sweeden, as well as a piece of artwork on display.
The full narrative is bookended by Kilian Eng’s master works “The Escape” and “Takeoff”. And of course there’s more than just those eight picture-music pairings on display, since lots of artists clamoured to take part in the project once Kilian became involved.
The music alone is absolutely incredible. If you’re one of those people (like me!) who watch Blade Runner over and over because you still can’t get enough, this will be a dose that can satiate you for at least a few days.
