Yes, it’s still May the 4th and yes, the internet is slowly building up a repository of videos, blog posts and awkward slash fiction inspired by Star Wars. One recent contribution is this parody clip from College Humor, which sees the owner of the Mos Eisley Cantina audition musicians for a gig at their famous bar.
The musicians, of course, are modern, familiar faces from this side of the universe including “Weird Al” Yankovic, Ben Folds and Lisa Loeb. There’s even a back-from-the-dead appearance by a rapping Boba Fett, though I think mercenary work would pay better than a singing job at the arse-end of the galaxy.
It’s not laugh-out-loud amazing, but it’s good for a chuckle, particularly considering the date.
