A Vespa Had To Die For The Segway To Look Cool

A Vespa Had to Die For the Segway to Look Cool

If the only thing stopping you from riding around town on a Segway is, well, looking like someone riding around town on a Segway, this enhanced version might make you a little less hesitant about being seen in public on one. And it's all thanks to a handful of Vespa scooters that had to sacrifice their lives for this creation.

For just under $US4000 this custom hand-made creation can be yours. Clad in body parts from an actual Piaggio scooter, this Segway is almost impossible to recognise save for the fact that it still magically balances on its own. You're still going to get a lot of attention while riding it, but with these enhancements it might actually be nods of appreciation, instead of heads shaken in disappointment. A Vespa Had to Die For the Segway to Look Cool

"... looking like someone riding around town on a Segway, "
Instead you can look like you're just in denial about it.
" heads shaken in disappointment " Or is it envy?

Actually, I do think this looks kinda cool though.
But that rear view mirror has to go back up to the handle bars.
Where it is now is just plain ... well.. wrong.

It looks like they had to put the mirror down there for it to actually be useful. Otherwise you'd just be getting a nice view of your own forearm. You might be happy with that though if you have ripped forearms :P

It's not going to look so pretty after the first face plant.

The segway looks really good like this, but the person riding it will still look like a dork. There's no changing that- the stance required for control of these things is dorky.
It's just something you have to accept and totally disregard if you're going to be riding around on one. It's a useful way to get around but will never, ever look cool.

There is a way to make yourself look cool on one of these. Strap on a DSLR, back pack, and pretend to be a tourist.

    Its a snail.
    A big blue Shiny snail.
