Many of history’s most iconic memories endure in written form as paintings or cringe-worthy photographs. But what if those historic moments had been cheekily snapped and posted on Instagram?
Histagrams answer that very question, by providing a funny and flippant slant on some of history’s most memorable moments as if they’d been uploaded to the photo-sharing site. Creators Gusto NYC and Gavin Alaoen explain:
“Swiping thru Instagram, [I] wondered what it would have been like if it was around 5 years ago, then I thought 10, 20 years ago, but why stop there? [We] like to exercise [our] creative muscles, so we try to do one-off projects such as this every few weeks. I like to think we have a good sense of humour so we try to incorporate that into many of the things we do.”
