Smoke is once again being picked up by the Bureau of Meteorology's radar station, and a thick layer of smoke has started blanketing Sydney.
NSW Police Update 04:42:12PM: Residents in the Springwood, Yellow Rock, Winmalee, Emu Heights, Mt Riverview and Castlereagh areas should take shelter and protect themselves from the radiant heat.
