Thanks to the people over at SoundWorks, we get to see (and hear) the steps it took to give a literal voice to Pixar’s newest film, Monsters University.
Sound designer Tom Myers lets us in on the more conceptual secrets of cinema sound, but he also breaks down an entire scene into the individual parts that make it whole. Each specific voice and noise sounds almost naked when you hear it on its own, so it’s truly incredible to see the final effect when Myers brings the whole piece together.
