Sporting lawsuits are so last year. This year it’s all about streaming events like the State of Origin to your smartphone. At least if you’re a Telstra customer.

Telstra customers on both Apple and Android devices will be able to stream the upcoming state versus state football match on their devices come game-day. All you need is the NRL Live 2013 app for Android or iOS which allows for an in-app subscription purchase.

The best value comes to iOS users, with a weekly subscription available for $5.49. Android users will have to purchase the monthly subscription for $14.99 to get access to the game.

The app isn’t just for the State of Origin, either: Telstra is streaming up to six live games per week to subscribers, including the Grand Final if it happens to fall when your subscription does.

Are you going to be watching the big game?
