Sometimes when people try to push design forward it takes more of a step backward. Things get more complicated without seeming worth the hassle. But I could really get on board with this coat rack, reCOVER, from Italian houseware designer Teracrea.
Sure, you would need to keep the pot from leaking as with any indoor plant, and you would almost definitely have to supplement the water supply unless you live in a place with crazy precipitation, but I think I would feel less annoyed about bringing wet clothes into my house if I knew there was a system in place that relied on them. There’s a symbiotic vibe to the whole thing that I don’t usually get from my depressing, drippy rain jacket. [design milk]
