Panhandlers Would Be Far More Successful If They Accepted Credit Cards

The problem with being a panhandler in this day and age — besides, you know, possibly being homeless — is that people don’t carry coins or cash as much as they used to. It’s easier to shrug off someone asking for change when you don’t actually have any to give, so maybe it’s time for panhandlers to start accepting credit cards.

John Elerick shows us how such a situation would play out. And as expected, it’s just as awkward as using mobile payment solutions in a store. However, with minimal donations required for a credit card transaction to be processed, this approach might even be a viable way for someone down on their luck to get back on their feet.
