Never-Before-Seen Bloopers From Star Trek: The Next Generation

Remastered Blu-ray editions of Star Trek: The Next Generation are slowly making their way into the wild, with the first two seasons already available. With the release of the second season late last year came a nice surprise — 10 minutes of completely new and hilarious bloopers... mostly of Worf (Michael Dorn).

If you're a purist, you might not want to watch this compilation of out-takes, lest it somehow dilute your opinion of the show. For everyone else, it's a fascinating look behind the scenes of one of television's most influential science fictions series.

I for one completely lost it when Riker (Jonathan Frakes) takes a tumble and when Picard (Patrick Stewart) confuses his Engages with his Energises, but it's all excellent stuff. I'd go so far as to say the best blooper reel ever put together for The Next Generation.

Prove what I always thought about Star Trek next gen... The actors had no clue what they were doing the whole series

That's a pretty mean spirited thing to say. What I saw was a selected extract of out takes where the actors had a good laugh and behaved like a family. Not sure if that's why you're being so bitter...

"Captain, I do not believe you have the authority to promote me to the rank of admiral."
    Love it

Here you go Giz! YouTube copy too!
(Sadly only 360 res, but looks good on a phone!)

People keep saying Patrick Stewart is not gay, and well he probably isn't, but he kinda comes across that way here! Not that there's anything wrong with that..!

      er... ok?

It isn't so much that he's gay. When you're comfortable with your sexuality you don't have to constantly watch what you do to make sure people don't think you're gay. He felt like laughing and holding onto people because Sir Patrick Stewart is a very personable man and all of the actors on this show felt like a family. There's a video online that illustrates what kind of man Sir Stewart is very well. It's him sitting with a young girl with her feet on his knees and he's just chatting and being silly, joking about acting and overall being very friendly.

So TL;DR no, I don't think he's gay. I think he's comfortable with his sexuality and loves his friends.

    I like this reel better.

Patrick Stewart gets so huggy! So different to the character he plays. Awesome video.

Well.. this just inspired a purchase.. bought the first 2 Blu-ray box sets of the TNG series.. they've been remastered from the camera stock with new f/x added etc..
